Broadband Brownbag: An Interactive Discussion on Broadband Deployment and Universal Service. This two-hour interactive webinar will be an open discussion forum about the state of broadband in the United States and the lessons of the pandemic. We’ll focus on the different communities involved in broadband policy and deployment, the roles of the public and private sectors, and the evolution of the regulatory model of universal access to an essential service. Participants will be invited to share ideas about how to improve education and outreach to the policymakers involve in deployment efforts, such as governor’s offices, state legislatures, local governments, not-for-profit groups, and other agencies and organizations that are either complementing or supplanting traditional regulatory roles.
